Best Way to Cook Potatoes! Rosemary and Red Onion Bake

This satisfying, cheesy, herby bake is perfect for lunch, or as a side to red meat. It’s super easy to make, and a great alternative to chips or mashed potatoes.


  • 2 potatoes
  • 1 tsp of dried Rosemary
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 red onion
  • 4 tbsp parmesan
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tsp black pepper
  • Salt


  1. Start off by grating the potato, then boiling for a short time – about 4 minutes, until they’ve softened off. Make sure you rinse them well with cold water afterwards, then drain them and squeeze the water out in a sieve.rosemary and red onion bake ingredients
  2. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees celsius, then whack the butter in a pan, heat it up until the moment it melts, then finely chop the red onion and fry, alongside the Rosemary.
  3. Next, combine the red onion with the potato, and add your salt and pepper. Put it all in a Pyrex dish, then add your egg and mix.rosemary potato bake before cooking
